Point Lobos has often been called "the crown jewel of the State Park System." Point Lobos State Reserve is a short drive south of Carmel-by-the-Sea along the beautiful California coast of the Pacific Ocean. Point Lobos contains a several hiking trails and many of them are along the ocean. There are several smaller beaches and areas to explore tide pools. Point Lobos also is an excellent destination for scuba diving. Photos in this gallery include starfish, tide pools, and the waves coming in from the coast.
